Product Development

We design the mechanism, then build the product around it. From first principles through product design, frontend engineering, smart contracts, and deployment.

Mechanism design · Product design · Frontend engineering · Prototypes to production
Approach

The thinking and the building happen in the same team.

The person designing the token economy is the same person building the frontend that makes it legible. The mechanism and the interface evolve together.

01

Mechanism first

Token economies, governance structures, incentive models. We start with the coordination problem and design the mechanism that solves it. Then we stress-test it against failure modes before writing a line of product code.

02

Product design

Information architecture, interaction patterns, spatial interfaces. We care about making complex systems legible. The interface isn't a skin on the mechanism; it's how people understand and trust the system.

03

Frontend engineering

Vue, React, MapLibre GL, deck.gl, GSAP, D3. We build spatial interfaces, scroll-driven narratives, and data-dense dashboards. The deliverable is deployed code, not a prototype deck.

Case study

LUCA — biodiversity data infrastructure

A production frontend for the world's open biodiversity data infrastructure. Built for SimplexDNA, delivered on deadline, launched at Nature Tech Week London 2026.

Explore view: interactive globe with H3 hex selection, data panel, species richness overlay

What we built

Interactive globe with real-time biodiversity monitoring data across 25K+ species and 2.6M observations
Scroll-driven narrative homepage with animated SVG data flow diagrams, stakeholder orbit visualizations, and stat counters
Full data exploration interface with filterable panels, CSV export, and API documentation
Auth system, admin dashboard, role-based access, rate-limited API key management

How we built it

Vue 3 + Vite + Tailwind 4 + Pinia — modern reactive SPA with composable state management
MapLibre GL globe projection with EOX Sentinel-2 cloudless satellite tiles
H3 hexagonal spatial indexing for resolution-dependent biodiversity density visualization
GSAP + ScrollTrigger for the narrative homepage animations and panel transitions
LUCA — the interface
LUCA Explore — hex overlays with data panel

LUCA stakeholder orbit — TNFD reporting

Stakeholder orbit: Research, Corporate, Government, NGO, Finance, Planner — with TNFD reporting

Case study

Regen Atlas — bioregion intelligence for green finance

A spatial marketplace for verified green crypto-assets. Won first place in Infrastructure and placed in Existing Code at the PL_Genesis hackathon.

Regen Atlas homepage

Regen Atlas: 185 bioregions, 505 verified assets, 224 actions, 27 actors — mapped on a 3D globe

What we built

Spatial marketplace indexing green crypto-assets across 185 bioregions with globe-based navigation
Multi-chain asset registry covering Toucan, Regen Network, Gainforest, dMRV providers, and more
Filterable explorer for 505 assets, 224 actions, and 28 actors across global bioregions

The thinking

Green assets need spatial context. A carbon credit in the Amazon and one in the Sahel are not the same asset. The globe interface makes that distinction legible.
Bioregion boundaries (WWF RESOLVE) give assets ecological context that administrative borders can't. The marketplace organizes around ecosystems, not countries.
Prototypes

From hackathon MVPs to investor-ready demos.

We also build prototypes for teams that need to validate an idea before committing to a full build.

Next step

Let's build something.

Whether it's a full product build, a prototype to validate an idea, or mechanism design for a system that doesn't exist yet. Start with a scoping call.
